]]> 2020 has been a rough year. So many of us have been left mentally, physically and spiritually exhausted, and it can be hard some days to see our way ahead. If you’ve wondered on those days if God hears you, and how you can feel hope and happiness again in your life, this is for you. Russell M. Nelson, the prophet and president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is going to be releasing a special video, a message of hope and healing next Friday at 11am MST.

If you haven’t heard of President Nelson before, he’s spent his life helping and serving people. He spent decades as a world-renowned heart surgeon, helped develop the first heart-lung machine used in open heart surgeries, and presided on many medical boards, associations and councils before being called as a global faith leader in 1984.

Since then, he has traveled all around the world, serving and lifting people of all walks of life on six continents, as he teaches about the life of Christ, and how to follow Him in a changing and ever-more-difficult world. President Thomas S. Monson, the 16th worldwide leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as the Mormon Church), turns 88 years old on Friday, August 21, 2015. Church members from different parts of the world sent video clips wishing President Monson a happy birthday (The video clip from the Philippines is from 1:12 ~ 1:20).

The members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that God, the eternal Father, still calls prophets and apostles to carry out His work on the earth, which is to bring all of us to His only Begotten son, even Jesus Christ.

Through the infinite love and sacrifice of the Savior, we can all overcome past mistakes, ease the burdens of this world, live to the fullest measure of our potential, and eventually come back into God’s presence and live with our lived ones forever.

For this reason, we are grateful that we have a living prophet today, who can help us to come closer to Christ and His teachings.
