The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released funeral details for President Jeffrey R. Holland, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who passed away on December 27, 2025.
Public funeral services will be held in the Tabernacle on Temple Square on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. MST.
The service is open to the public for individuals ages 8 and older. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to arrive early, as overflow seating will be used once the Tabernacle reaches capacity.
For a global audience, the funeral will be streamed live on the Church’s official website, YouTube channel, BYUtv, and KSL.
President Dallin H. Oaks, First Counselor in the First Presidency, will preside over the services, while Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will conduct. The program is scheduled to feature remarks from the Holland family and musical numbers by The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square.
Following the formal services, a private interment will take place at the St. George City Cemetery in St. George, Utah.
