This Easter season, may we always remember the sacred name, the life and the resurrection of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Moreover, the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the following message for the 2017 Easter season:

At this Easter season, we remember with immense gratitude the sacrifices of our Savior in Gethsemane and on Calvary’s cross. No mere mortal can comprehend the full import of what Christ did for us in Gethsemane. His suffering there caused Him to “tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit” (Doctrine and Covenants 19:18). Following the agony of Gethsemane, the Savior’s wounded body was nailed to a cross on Calvary’s hill. He was mocked and cursed and derided. When merciful death came, His body was gently placed in a borrowed tomb. He had passed beneath all things so that He might save all things.

Three days later, angels declared to the weeping Mary Magdalene: “He is not here, but is risen” (Luke 24:6). With these words, the most glorious, comforting, and reassuring of all events of human history was announced — the Savior’s victory over death. The pain and agony of Gethsemane and Calvary were wiped away. The salvation of mankind was secured. The Fall of Adam was reclaimed.

At this Easter season, we solemnly testify that our Savior was resurrected and that He lives again. As a result, each of God’s children will receive the Savior’s gift of immortality. And those who follow the Savior’s teachings and receive the gospel’s saving ordinances will be blessed with life eternal.

Thomas S. Monson

Henry B. Eyring

Dieter F. Uchtdorf

The Prince of Peace: Find Lasting Peace through Jesus Christ – Easter Message

Furthermore, members worldwide has joined the Church’s #PRINCEofPEACE campaign that draws each one of us to learn more about the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As you watch this 2017 Easter video (in Tagalog language), you may also visit mormon.org for additional resources.

https://www.facebook.com/MormonPH/videos/1148036405308294/

This Easter, will you share with others how Christ brings peace to your life? Don’t forget to add #PrinceOfPeace at the end of your social media posts.

The theme for the #PrinceOfPeace initiative comes from Isaiah 9: 6.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9: 6

In addition, Mormon.org also released some downloadable resources which members can use to invite others to “come unto Christ” in this Easter season.

The Prince of Peace video is available in 33 languages and accompanies other videos that talk about the eight principles of peace: faith, God’s word, compassion, gratitude, prayer, forgiveness, repentance and hope.

We often here the word hallelujah, commonly in elderly people. In Hebrew, this means “Praise ye the Lord.” But what does it really mean? This holy week find out how can we truly praise the Lord?

May we, with the future dawning .

Day by day from sin be free,

That on resurrection morning

We may rise at peace with thee,

Ever praising, ever praising,

Thruout all eternity;

Ever praising, ever praising,

Thruout all eternity.

This song is from the Hymn entitled Lord, Accept Our True Devotion. This is one of the sweetest hymn, it goes down straight to your soul and heart. We can often hear and see that “praising” is the most common theme of this song. But what does praise really means? Praising is to express warm approval or admiration of someone or something. Meaning, if we praise Him, we admire Him leading to following His works and obeying His words. If we follow Jesus Christ, we will find new life and our way back to God.

“The Savior fully and passionately accomplished the Atonement. He took upon Himself the ‘burdens of the sins of mankind’ and the ‘horrors that Satan … could inflict.’ In this process He endured the fraudulently concocted trials and the terrible, tragic events leading to His Crucifixion. This ultimately culminated in Christ’s triumphant Resurrection on Easter Sunday. Christ fulfilled His sacred mission as Savior and Redeemer. We will be resurrected from death and have our spirits reunited with our bodies. Based on personal worthiness, we may through His grace have the glorious opportunity of entering back into the presence of God”. In this Easter season, let us sing Hallelujah to the resurrected Christ and Savior by rediscovering His life and teachings. Here are some ways we can remember Him this Easter week and praise him as well.

Things You Might Do:

Ponder on the times God has granted you grace and record these experiences in your journal.

Set goals to stretch your abilities and take time to recognize the Savior’s grace as you strive to reach your goals.

Share your testimony and experiences with others at home, at school, at church, on social media.

President Thomas S. Monson, the prophet of the world today, testified, “Of Him who delivered each of us from endless death, even Jesus Christ, I testify that He is a teacher of truth—but He is more than a teacher. He is the Exemplar of the perfect life—but He is more than an exemplar. He is the Great Physician—but He is more than a physician. He who rescued the ‘lost battalion’ of mankind is the literal Savior of the world, the Son of God, the Prince of Peace, the Holy One of Israel—even the risen Lord—who declared, ‘I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father.'”. As we remember his sacrifices, let us ask ourselves, “Do I really praise Him?”

Here is a list as an Easter week date with the Lord to help us draw our attention back to this season’s real meaning.

Just like Christmas, everyone is busy for everything not thinking why we are celebrating this season. It is because we celebrate the most significant event happened to these whole existence., the Atonement of Christ. But how can we really remember Him this and celebrate it? This idea is not only for Lenten Season, it is for everyday or time to time activity for a week.

Day 1: On the fifth day before Passover, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey as was prophesied. People recognized Him as their King, shouted “Hosanna,” and placed their garments and palm fronds on the ground in front of the donkey. (Matthew 21:1–11; Mark 11:1–11; Zechariah 9:9)

Day 2: For the second time during His mortal ministry, Jesus cleansed the courts of the temple. “My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves,” He told the money changers (Matthew 21:13). Then many of the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. But when the chief priests and the scribes saw His miracles, they became angry and sought for a way to destroy Him. (Matthew 21:12–17; Mark 11:15–19)

Day 3: Throughout the week, the Savior delivered some of His most memorable sermons, including His teachings about the widow’s mite. (Mark 12:41–44; Luke 21:1–4)

Day 4: During His last meal, Jesus promised His apostles that they would receive the Comforter, or Holy Ghost, when He was gone. He taught them to remember Him by partaking of the sacrament. At the end of the evening, Jesus offered the Intercessory Prayer, where He prayed that the disciples might become one in unity. (Matthew 26:17–30; Mark 14:12–26; Luke 22:14–32; John 13–17)

Day 5: In the Garden of Gethsemane, the Savior knelt and prayed, His agony for the sins of the world causing Him “to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit” (D&C 19:18). Soon Judas Iscariot and a multitude of armed men arrested Jesus, and all the disciples forsook the Lord and fled. (Matthew 26:36–56; Mark 14:32–50; Luke 22:39–53)

Day 6: After an illegal trial and cruel scourging, Jesus Christ allowed Himself to be crucified, completing the “great and last sacrifice” that made salvation possible for all the children of God (see Alma 34:14–15). Before nightfall, Jesus’s followers removed His body from the cross, dressed Him in linen and spices, and laid Him in a tomb. (SeeMatthew 27; Luke 23; Mark 15; John 19)

Day 7: Sunday morning dawned, and Mary Magdalene and other faithful women arrived at the tomb to further anoint Jesus’s body. They found the stone of the tomb rolled away and two angels who declared joyous tidings: “He is not here: for he is risen” (Matthew 28:6). The resurrected Savior had conquered physical death and made it possible for each of us to live again: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22). (Matthew 28; Mark 16; Luke 24; John 20)

May we celebrate this season with purpose and may we have a great personal moment with the Lord as we go through this Easter season with the Easter week date guide.
