Mormon rumors are everywhere. Questions ranging from “Do Mormons have many wives?” to “Do Mormons celebrate Christmas?” may have already sparked curiosity in your mind. If you go to the right source, you will find answers. However, misleading information is everywhere, and can keep you from finding the truth about this unique faith. Here are 5 simple steps to help you know Mormons better:

Ask A Mormon

Your Mormon friends can help you clear out Mormon rumors.

When you have questions about dental care, you don’t go to an accountant; you go straight to a dentist. The same goes with Mormon-related questions. If you have a friend or an acquaintance who is a Latter-day saint, take advantage of that opportunity. We always love answering sincere questions from everyone who wants to know our faith better. Do not hesitate to voice your inquiries about the Mormon faith. Who knows how many questions would be better answered just by asking a Mormon?

Listen To The Missionaries

Do not hesitate to ask missionaries.

Have you happened to see those young men and young women wearing black name tags? They are missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As missionaries, they are there to share the gospel with all the people they meet. If you feel too shy to ask your friends, you can go to the missionaries and ask questions. If you’re not sure how to get in contact with them, just tell your Mormon friends and they will be glad to help you.

Elder Russell M.Nelson said about the Mormon missionaries:

“These missionaries serve in more than 150 nations. As representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ, they strive to fulfill that divine command—renewed in our day by the Lord Himself—to take the fulness of the gospel abroad and bless the lives of people everywhere.

You may have previously encountered, or even ignored, our missionaries. My hope is that you will not fear them but learn from them. They can be a heaven-sent resource to you.”

We echo Pres. Nelson as well : Ask the missionaries. They can help you.
