Listen To The Missionaries

Have you happened to see those young men and young women wearing black name tags? They are missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As missionaries, they are there to share the gospel with all the people they meet. If you feel too shy to ask your friends, you can go to the missionaries and ask questions. If you’re not sure how to get in contact with them, just tell your Mormon friends and they will be glad to help you.

Elder Russell M.Nelson said about the Mormon missionaries:

“These missionaries serve in more than 150 nations. As representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ, they strive to fulfill that divine command—renewed in our day by the Lord Himself—to take the fulness of the gospel abroad and bless the lives of people everywhere.

You may have previously encountered, or even ignored, our missionaries. My hope is that you will not fear them but learn from them. They can be a heaven-sent resource to you.”

The internet is a great source of information. However, it also contains errors, misunderstandings, or details out of context that could confuse and mislead seekers of truth. Fortunately, through the internet, you can find real answers about Mormons, too. You can start by visiting Lds.org and Mormon.org. At Mormon.org, you can learn more about our beliefs. You can also chat with Mormon missionaries. Lds.org, on the other hand, is the official website of the Church. You can read messages and watch videos of faith there.
 

Attend A Mormon Activity

If your conversation with a friend or with the Mormon missionaries has led to an invitation to attend a church activity, please don’t hesitate to give it a try. Being in a Mormon meeting firsthand can help you answer some questions you have, and may also help dispel rumors as well!
 

Observe The Lives Of Mormon Friends

Perhaps you have noticed that there is something different about your Mormon friends that makes you wonder. Another way to  know more about Latter-day saints is to observe their lives. The way they talk about their family, face trials, and view life can tell you so many things. Look at their lives without judgment and you can receive answers.

You meet us almost everywhere. We are your friends. We are your neighbors who are always at Church on Sunday. We are your officemates. Talk to us. Talk to our missionaries. Be part of our lives. You don’t need to go to great lengths to know us Mormons better. By following these five simple steps, you can see for yourself and know the truth about Mormons.
