Dating is sort of like applying for a new job. You only get ONE chance to make a good first impression.
As Hallmark greeting company ads used to say< You cared enough to send your very best.
The world no longer teaches folks how to communicate in face to face encounters and that is what caused more concern in MTC training than any other item. That is a major factor in why MTC training changed from NO cell phones on a mission, to become what people understand now.
Today's missionaries have little concept of what a mission was like in the 1970's when I was on the receiving end and I was 40, married to a lifer.
WOW! I just searched for the definition of LIFER in today's on line dictionaries. No wonder at age 83 I do not understand what passes as English these days.
Stop the world, I want to return to the 1950's.

One question that needs to be asked by either party. Will you be leaving your cell phone at home? Cell phones have replaced the attention focus that used to be part of the NORMAL attention span.
If we get married will the phone be turned off when you get home?

I knew a 30 year old single woman that worked for me at a large University in Utah, and I asked a man what he thought of her as a suitable date., knowing that he had been on one.
"She was always on her phone with long conversations during our entire date"

Another question should be, Do you play games on your phone?
Do you watch sporting events more often than attending the temple?
How often do you need to charge your phone?
Where do children fit in your future.?
How Do you value your Face Book friends and how many do you have?
Can you name 6 friends that you have that you never have computer/phone chats with?
Why do you consider yourself to be a god choice for an eternal companion?
